The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver situation just went from tenuous to big trouble. Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune has reported that Minnesota Vikings receiver Sidney Rice had hip surgery yesterday. Rice sent a text to the Tribune's Chip Scoggins saying that the surgery went well and he is expected to miss the first half of the season. While we don't know the exact nature of the surgery, we do know that the Vikings situation at wide receiver, which was a team strength last season, is looking, at best, like a liability right now.
